No One’s Rhino Saw Us Before
HE'S been a long while coming, but here's not-so-little Zamba making his BIG public entrance yesterday - as the first white rhino born in the UK through artificial insemination.
The youngster weighed in at more than NINE STONE, with proud mum Cynthia enduring a 16-month pregnancy after being inseminated with frozen sperm from her former partner Simba.
But, with only 17,500 white rhino in the world, Zamba's arrival at Colchester Zoo, Essex, is a natural wonder.
